There is only one way

Everyday we are faced with the decision to pick up the Cross and follow the way of our Father or to continue to be controlled by the ways of man. Right now we are in a rough spot in our nation. We have not faced these kind of problems in a long time and we have probably never been this weak as a people. With all that being said we are facing the greatest opportunity in Church History. Everyday more and more of man's strategies and ideals fail us. We are at a point where I don't think any economic plan will work. I don't think any form of governmental protection will secure our nation.  There is no brilliant health care system created to care of all the needs. None of these will work in the end because there is only one answer. God is the only answer and there is only one God. Im confused why as Christian's we continue to put our trust in government as the answer? Why do we feel that along as we get the republican candidate in we are fine? We had 8 years of President Bush, who I truly love and appreciate all he has done for our nation, but the truth is the Church has not progressed in the last 8 years. Research shows that  the Church in America has not grown in the last 8 years and in fact many denominations are reporting a large dropoff in recent years. I can promise you that unless the Church puts their Faith back in God and not man we will see our churches shrink in the next 8 years.  We will not see abortion end until we are willing to minister and walk hand and hand down the path with a unwed mother. We won't see security in our nation until we are willing to pray for them like Jesus prays for them and to reach out to them like Jesus does.  We will not see the gay marriage battle end until we are willing to invite them to our church and sit with them in the front row.  God wants to remove all the walls that we have put up to protect us from a sinful world and bring the prophetic lifestyle and ministry of Jesus who never played it safe and never turned his back on anyone in need.  We have this choice daily...To pick up the Cross and follow the way of  the Lord
